Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Chuchun Toolbox comes into contact with while you use it, how that information is handled, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it plainly, and to avoid sentences like "we value your privacy" that commit to nothing.

1. We do not need your identity

The site has no registration, no login, no membership and no accounts of any kind. Using any tool requires no name, phone number, email address, identity document or payment information, and we do not ask for them.

The only state kept locally is your favourites and your theme and language preferences. These live in your browser's local storage and are never sent to the server. Clearing site data removes them completely.

2. What you enter

Processed inside your browser

More than nine in ten tools run entirely inside your browser: text conversion, encoding, formatting, hashing, image work and the various generators. What you type, paste or select is processed in local memory and never crosses the network, so our servers have no opportunity to see it. Those tools keep working with the connection off, which you can use as evidence of this.

Processed on the server

A small number of tools need the server and are labelled as such at the top of the page. Those send the necessary data — the text or file you submitted — to the server to complete the operation. We use it only to serve that one request and for nothing else.

Retention of temporary files

Files received by server-side tools, and the results they generate, are temporary: they enter the cleanup queue as soon as processing finishes, are kept for at most 24 hours, and usually disappear sooner. Download links use single-use random tokens that cannot be guessed or enumerated.

We do not use what you enter to train models, to improve product analytics, or for any other purpose; we do not sell, rent or otherwise provide it to third parties.

3. Information collected automatically

Access logs

Like any website, the server keeps basic access logs, typically containing the originating IP address, request time, request path, browser identifier and response status. They are used only for debugging, for overall availability measurement and for abuse prevention. They are not linked to what you entered and are not used to build a profile of you.

No third-party tracking

The site carries no third-party ad networks, social plug-ins, fingerprinting scripts or behavioural analytics. Icon fonts and scripts are self-hosted, so no requests go to external domains and there is no cross-site tracking.

The site sets no cookies for tracking or advertising. Your language and theme choices are kept in local storage, not in cookies, and are not sent with requests.

4. Your rights

Because the site has no accounts and keeps no data tied to your identity, operations such as "export my data" or "delete my account" usually have nothing to act on: we do not hold such data.

If you used one of the few server-side tools and want the temporary files removed ahead of schedule, contact us through the footer with the approximate time and the tool name, and we will delete them promptly once verified.

5. Minors

This is a general-purpose tools site. It is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are under 14, please read this policy and use the site with a guardian.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add anything that touches your data — accounts or cloud saving, for example — we will update this policy and mark a new effective date before that feature goes live. The "last updated" date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
