Flag Emoji Unicode Reference
A complete reference of 254 flag emoji: every ISO 3166-1 code plus the EU, UN, England, Scotland and Wales. Click a flag to copy it, or select one to see every encoding you might paste into code — code points (regional indicators such as U+1F1E8), UTF-8 bytes, UTF-16 surrogate pairs, HTML entities, JS escapes, percent-encoding, CSS escapes and the Python literal. Filter by continent, or search by name, English name, two-letter code, or by pasting a flag. Everything runs in your browser.
A flag is not an image and has no dedicated character. It is two Regional Indicator Symbols stitched together: the letter C is
U+1F1E8,字母 N 对应 U+1F1F3,
and the system renders the pair as one flag.
That is why any two-letter code yields a flag — which is why \uD83C\uDDE8\uD83C\uDDF3
is simply 🇨🇳, with no lookup table.
England, Scotland and Wales are the exception: they are not two-letter codes but a tag sequence (U+1F3F4 plus several U+E0000 tag characters), which is why they have seven code points.
